The StarKid Manifesto
And every parent feels like they are doing an excellent job.
What we stand against
We refuse the cultural shrug that tells parents and children burnout is just life.
We refuse infinite scroll, low-quality dopamine loops, and apps designed to capture our children's nervous systems.
We refuse the story that anyone is permanently broken by their circumstances. There is always a way to meet life again.
We refuse to repeat the scripts our parents inherited and never questioned.
What we teach instead
Stress. Burnout. Insecurity. Anger. Guilt. Shame. Addictions. These waves come for every family. We teach parents and children to ride them - together - with presence, steadiness and grace.
What we stand for
Teaching kids and parents to notice - early, kindly, and on purpose.
From annoyance and frustration to gossip, lamenting and physical anger - met mindfully, not suppressed.
Food, cigarettes, unhealthy relationships, unhealthy routines, procrastination - met as messengers, not enemies.
The stories we believe about ourselves and our children - gently dissolved, replaced with what is actually here.
